        @nonlinear_girl J.D. Salinger lived in Cornish, New Hampshire, which is to the west of where I live in Concord, New Hampshire. Cornish is a smaller town than Concord; it is across the Connecticut River from Vermont. It is very rural in Cornish; Concord is the minimum level of urban that I need.

      @nonlinear_girl While in Japan you might be used to taking the train for transportation, here in New Hampshire you basically need your own car to get anywhere, so it can be difficult if you can't afford one. The climate here is like Hokkaido or Karafuto (樺太). We get a lot of snow in the winter

    @nonlinear_girl There are a lot of forests in New Hampshire; we are the second-most forested state in the United States. So if you like forests and trees, there is much to explore in New Hampshire! You also might like visiting if you like meeting politicians; many of them come to New Hampshire.
