    @Jaihawkk @EllsBellsInPA @zachheltzel @yashar because the people who call themselves "conservatives" aren't actually conservatives, they're reactionaries: they oppose maintaining the current status quo and want to take it back to an older, worse one

      @Jaihawkk @EllsBellsInPA @zachheltzel @yashar basically there are 3 major political categories, not 2: - want to return to older, worse times => reactionaries (GOP) - want to keep things the same => conservatives (Dems) - want to move to a newer, better future => progressives (Socialists)
