        @Oh_So_Animated They should be functional and adequately convey all necessary gameplay information required for me to play. Beyond that, I don't really care about having the fanciest shaders or highest resolution or whatever

      @Oh_So_Animated To be clear, sometimes stuff like resolution can actually matter: like, if there's a sign you're supposed to be able to read to progress, but the texture for it is too low-rez, that's bad. But resolution for resolution's sake isn't necessary.

    @Oh_So_Animated Another example: draw distances should be farther than your character can move before the renderer can catch up. Like in Minecraft, flying into walls w/your Elytra before they've had time to draw in is bad. But having good draw distances for unreachable terrain is pointless.
