@FBI To clarify what I'm saying here: Yes, Garvey had flaws, such as his willingness to meet with the KKK. But that doesn't justify James Wormley Jones ratting him out to the FBI. Jones should've just let W.E.B. DuBois defeat Garvey rhetorically instead.Permalink On twitter.com

@FBI And, to be clear, when I'm talking about defeating Garvey rhetorically, I'm talking only about destroying his bad ideological positions, such as his opposition to socialism. Attacking him for being Jamaican, as some 1920s #ADOS-types did, was over the line.Permalink On twitter.com
