Thread on VP ideas: Ideally, a VP nominee should be a good complement to whoever the presidential nominee is, so who I'd want for VP would depend on which candidate they'd be the VP for

For an old white guy like Bernie or Biden, it should be a young WOC from a red/purple state; e.g.: - Rashida Tlaib (other squad members are all from blue states) - Stacey Abrams (GA) - Terri Sewell (AL) - Nina Turner (OH) - Stephanie Murphy (FL) - Donna Shalala (FL) …[cont'd]…
-
- Bernice King (GA) - Sharice Davids (KS) - Marcia Fudge (OH) - Deb Haaland (NM)
-
For a white woman like Warren, same criteria, but swap genders, so, nonwhite men from red/purple states: - Andrew Gillum (FL) - Wayne Messam (FL) - Bill Richardson (NM) - Rev. Dr. William J. Barber II (NC)
-
update: now that Julián Castro has dropped out and endorsed Warren, well, he meets all the criteria and seems like a perfect fit. #WarrenCastro2020

I'd include Jaime Harrison here, too, but unfortunately he's already running for Senate against Lindsey Graham, so I wouldn't want to take him away from that...
-
For a YOUNG white guy like Pete (from Indiana) I'd go with an older WOC from a blue state, so someone like Maxine Waters or Barbara Lee... I might also include Kamala here if things weren't still so sore between their camps of supporters due to the recent drop-out...
-
Pramila Jayapal or Bonnie Watson-Coleman or Jahana Hayes could also be good for Pete... I'd include Lauren Underwood, too, but Illinois is too close to Indiana...
-
Julian Castro should make Matt Bonner his VP nominee since they have that San Antonio connection... he'd win NH for sure then!
-
...and I have no idea who Cory Booker or Andrew Yang should pick...
