@steipete disappointed that this never happened; GPL would have kept it as part of GCC and prevented the project split that sucks up so much of my time trying to catch gcc up to clang.

@steipete Also then there would've been a greater chance that Apple stuck with the project and GPL-ed software in general, instead of going their current route of making stuff proprietary. They would've had to stay just a regular contributor rather than getting to take over the project.
