    @ssaltydogg @dnahealthnut @TrueFactsStated Anacostia is one of the neighborhoods that white people moving to DC get told to avoid due to being "dangerous" but that's really just because people are racist and would rather just fearmonger about black people than accurately describe the neighborhood

      @ssaltydogg @dnahealthnut @TrueFactsStated …now, tbf, there are actually some legitimate reasons to avoid Anacostia, such as respecting the residents' wishes not to get gentrified out of their own neighborhood, but that's different from being "dangerous". Really the most "dangerous" thing about Anacostia is the potholes.
