I find it kinda hilarious how the different Greek words for "love" are treated as this super-serious topic of great theological and philosophical significance, and meanwhile in Japanese one of their words for "love" translates literally as just "big like"Permalink On twitter.com

maybe if I had learned the Japanese words before the Greek ones I wouldn't have made as big of a fool of myself in high school... (sincerely, a guy who wrote a treatise on the Greek ones as a failed love letter to a girl I liked in HS)Permalink On twitter.com
