Opponents of HB586 are like, "This bill will make middle-class people pay for low-income housing for poor people, and flood us with high-density apartments!" and I'm like, yeah, exactly, those are all good things. I am low-income living in a high-density apartment. #NHPolitics

I really want to write back and be like "fuck you for insulting me and my living situation" but I know I really ought to be more professional than that. Also there's too many of them for me to reply to each.

"Our zoning boards don't need education!" Well gee, thanks for confirming to me that your opposition to HB586 is based in anti-intellectualism.

Fuck your 2-acre lots. Fuck your town's "rural character". Fuck the fear rural living promotes in people that causes them to construct giant buffer zones around themselves to keep others out. Fuck NIMBYism. We are going to ensure everyone has housing whether you like it or not.

Keeping property values high excludes people from being housed who need to be. You don't have any right to high property values, just a desire, and that desire shouldn't trump people's basic right to shelter.

“one of the main reasons that I purchased acres of land and built a house in the town was…” …wait back up, you purchased acre”S” of land, plural? I’m sorry but I have no sympathy for anyone w/enough money to own multiple acres of land. There are people going homeless out here.
