Mini-thread on my thoughts on the GCC Copyright Assignment process change: 1. I currently have a copyright assignment on file with the FSF for GCC. It was a pain to get this assignment set up, and I support this move to stop inflicting this pain on new developers.On twitter.com

2. That being said, it’d also be a pain to go and revoke said copyright assignment, so I’m just going to keep mine in place instead of trying to get it revoked like I’ve seen some people doing, which to me seems like an overreaction.Permalink On twitter.com

3. Hopefully this change will spur new contributions to GCC. There are lots of bugs filed against it, so hopefully we can start to reduce that number now. Please contribute if able!Permalink On twitter.com
