In a way, Crenshaw is right, they do defend the right of people to live their lives the way they want. The issue is that there are ways to live lives that people shouldn’t do (e.g. being rich, committing acts of violence, harming others), & those are all the ways the GOP supports

If “living your life the way you want” means waving guns around threateningly, then no, you shouldn’t do that. If “living your life the way you want” means polluting, then no, you shouldn’t live that way, either.

If “living your life the way you want” means hoarding money that other people need for survival, then no, you DEFINITELY shouldn’t live that way. Dems need to be less afraid of admitting that we want to restrict stuff, when that stuff is bad & does actually need to be restricted.
