      @ForsakenSheikah So, if they’re using “Auchi” here where they used “Payne” previously, that either means they’re retconning the previous localizations to be in line with the Japanese originals, or they invented a new separate history for the localization.

    @ForsakenSheikah Seeing as they’ve invented alternate histories to explain other aspects of inconsistencies of the localizations (eg, California having become “Japanifornia” due to the US never having restricted Japanese immigration in this universe), I’d think something similar here’d make sense
