So, this article is going around because the bill being reported on is really bad, but what I wonder is how @ConMonitorNews does these stories on legislation? Do they just sit down and read through every single bill, and then pick out ones they find interesting? #NHPolitics @rweingarten/1467666431273803778

Like, I've got several bills filed this year, too, but I haven't seen any reporting on any of mine yet... one is even in this very same issue area of what history teachers should teach! (I want them to add a unit on @wrkclasshistory) Are mine not bad enough to be newsworthy?

I'm also wondering how HB1255 already has a bill number, as I don't think any of mine have had their LSR numbers turned into HB numbers yet... they don't appear to be on @LegiScan @LegiScanNH yet, either... is that when they'll be reported on, once they show up there?

Or do reporters get their legislation to report on directly from @nhhouseclerk's office instead? Or do they just hang out at the State House and interview any reps who walk by? What's the process here?

Anyways I guess I'd just like to close this thread up by thanking @eileenogrady27 for her reporting, and alerting her to my availability for comment for any future reporting she does...
