yeah this bill (HB1574) seemed like it made sense at 1st, but after hearing more testimony about it, it seems like a bad idea; proponents want to cut administrative costs to pay for it, but the woman from the university system testifying explained how it'd actually increase costsPermalink On twitter.com

it seems that the only way to make up for the lost revenue here would be to raise taxes, but of course Republicans aren't going to go for that, so instead it'd probably just result it the further weakening of the university system here...Permalink On twitter.com

I’m realizing I may have misspoke earlier today in my testimony on the #SOFTWAREAct before ED&A: after further thought, I don’t think the noncompete portion would actually override federal security clearance protocols after all, but I’m willing to request an amendment to clarify.Permalink On twitter.com
