      one correction I’d note on a 2nd reading: the bill doesn’t ban *all* javascript on state websites, just nonfree javascript. It requires that js on state websites be compatible with GNU LibreJS (or some equivalent browser extension with the same function): gnu.org/software/librejs/index.html

    also it’s not even a complete ban, it just says state websites can’t require users to allow execution of proprietary javascript to fulfill state interactions required of them by law. State websites can still use proprietary javascript so long as they still work with it turned off
