@Cheesemeister3k I mean, yeah, but... we already get a lot of turnover at the state level here in NH anyway due to nonexistent pay & general unpleasantness. Also this'd only really affect swing districts, in which there tends to be high turnover anyway for other reasons (being swing districts)

@Cheesemeister3k And, for comparison, the original bill that prompted me tweeting this was a hard cutoff after 15 terms (30 years). With my proposal someone on their 15th term would still be eligible for re-election if they'd won their previous election by a margin of 15% or greater...

@Cheesemeister3k ...which is a margin that some candidates in safe seats already win by regularly. So, in their case, there'd be less turnover. Although I guess that'd kind of defeat the point of it, since those are the candidates term limits are generally designed to go after anyways...

@Cheesemeister3k ok, so, separate idea... instead of the margins idea I previously floated, any candidates serving past a certain number of terms then become eligible for recall by the entire state (or country, depending on the level of government), rather than just their individual district
