    @watsonclint @Kwags1981 @frankthorp also, even if cutting open skulls to sample brain material really is the only way to test, I still wonder if that necessitates killing? Like, back when trepanning was a medical procedure humans used to do to one another, it didn't actually kill the people receiving it, did it?
