A good things about Twitter IMO is that the format makes it harder to Gish Gallop. I mean yeah people can do threads, but if someone does a thread, you can just pick out a discrete chunk to engage with at a time instead of feeling compelled to try to deal with the whole thing.Permalink On twitter.com

Like, if someone talks my ear off IRL, I'm often just forced to nod along as if I'm agreeing, but on Twitter I find it a lot easier to interrupt before someone goes on too long (for better or for worse)On twitter.com
