  1. Well… I’d modify this a bit: If you’d normally vote straight-ticket Dems, but are considering splitting your ticket for a GOP candidate: don’t do it; vote straight-ticket Dems instead.       IOW, vote in whichever way maximizes the number of Dems you vote for. If ticket-splitting would result in more D votes than we’d otherwise get from you, then fine, do it, but otherwise we’d prefer straight-ticket D ballots.
